La Favilla

Since 2012, Isabel Favilla and Giulio Quirici have shared stages around the world, presenting their intimate yet vibrant approach to baroque music. They won the Handel Gottingen Competition (jury and audience prices) and the Utrecht Van Wassenaer competion (audience price) as part of the ensemble Radio Antiqua, and were Artists in Residence at the Concertgebouw Bruges and the Centre Culturel d’Uccle. Isabel’s world-première debut album “Dieupart: Suittes and Sonatas” was praised by the international press; further their interplay can be heard on releases by Ramée, Brilliant Classics and Ambronay Records.

With La Favilla (spark, in Italian) the two continue to explore different repertoires from the 16th to the 18th century. Coming projects together include world première recordings of French music as well as original arrangements of Brazilian folk music.
